Mike Heftka will bring
important skills to our Town Board.
As an award winning Senior Business Advisor for the NYS Small Business
Development Center Heftka provides planning,
management and technical assistance to start-up and existing businesses.
Heftka will continue to champion Community Service Projects
to improve our town. His projects (described below) show what an active and
energetic Town Councilman can achieve. Heftka will use his business
planning experience to Ease Property
Taxes through controlled growth of the Town’s commercial tax base.

– as vice chair of a special state commission Heftka is working to have G.I.
recognized as a “Canal Town” in order to benefit from state and federal
programs.

Residential Area Speed Limits – working through Traffic Safety Board to create “area
speed zones” making residential streets safer

Enhanced Animal Control –
protecting our families from dangers such as rabies and west Nile virus

Veterans Park Safety Patrol
