Bluesroot At Fantasy Island
GRAND ISLAND, NY . . April 19, 2007 -- BluesRoot, international Americana roots rock and roll recording act with Grand Island roots, has joined with the Martin’s Fantasy Island to provide a summer long series of concerts at the park’s outdoor theater.
BluesRoot will kickoff the eight week series with a special Wednesday, July 4th performance inside the park. The concert will run from 7:30 until approximately 8:15 pm. BluesRoot is also scheduled to appear at the park on consecutive Fridays beginning July 13th and concluding on August 24th. The outdoor performances are subject to weather conditions. The seven Friday shows will begin at approximately 5 p.m. and run until 5:45 p.m.
Mike McGuire, Fantasy Island’s public relations director said, “We’re enthused to have BluesRoot as an entertainment partner, and look forward to a fun filled series of family friendly music shows.”
BluesRoot is made up of two veteran musicians and Grand Island residents, John D. Moore and Arthur Borgeson. The retired businessmen grew up, and played music in the 1950’s and ‘60’s. Today, they perform the great blues, rockabilly and rock and roll songs of that era and pay historical tribute to that Golden Era of American music.
