Bridgeview Garden Club Holds Installation Of Officers - 2004
Bridgeview Garden Club members held their annual installation of officers Tuesday evening, February 3, 2004 in John's Flaming Hearth Restaurant, Niagara Falls. Carolyn Doebert, who was unable to attend, will serve as the new Bridgeview Garden Club president. Installed were Vice President Jerri Karb, Recording Secretary Pat Dunlop, Coresponding Secretary Mary Adams and Treasurer Joanne Gesl.
Town Board Recognizes Bridgeview Garden Club Project
The Grand Island Town Board recognized, via a proclamation, the efforts of the
Bridgeview Garden Club on Monday, October 7, 2002. Garden Club members, as a Sesquicentnnial project, distributed more than 400 bookmarks to local school children, detailing
the history of the White Oak trees on Grand Island and facilitated the
planting of more than two dozen oak trees throughout the community.
Bridgeview Garden Club Plans Sesquicentennial Project
In celebration of the 150th birthday of the town, Bridgeview Garden Club members will promote the history of oak trees on Grand Island by distributing oak tree bookmarks with a brief history of the Grand Island white oaks and their uses to local school children. Distribution to the schools will take place on or about May 1, 2002.
