Amherst, New York—April 11, 2005– The American
Cancer Society invites individuals to honor cancer survivors and caregivers or
pay tribute to those who have lost their battles with cancer to join a Relay
For Life in your community.
Relay For
Life is an overnight community celebration where individuals and teams camp
out, barbecue, and walk or run around a local track “relay” style to fight
cancer. Funds raised support cancer research, education, advocacy and patient
services in the community.

in an inspirational “survivors’ lap” to open the Relay For Life.
