Students Compete For Scholarships

 

At GISBA Corporate Bowl

 

Student teams are currently forming to compete in this year’s GISBA Corporate Bowl.

In this academic challenge, teams of high school students compete for college scholarships by answering questions in subjects of English, Math, Science, History, Geography, Music, Art, Current Events, Sports, and Business.  These scholarships, which are sponsored by contributions from area businesses, are awarded to the three winning teams.

 

The GISBA Board of Directors, along with corporate representatives from Fujisawa and Invitrogen, has been busy organizing, seeking sponsors, and promoting this year’s event.  Donations will be recognized at the following levels:

Tuesday, March 8, 2005 – Preliminary Round

 

Tuesday March 15, 2005 – Final Round

 

At 7 p.m. in the High School Auditorium

 

It is our hope that this event encourages lifelong learning and reinforces the reality that learning can be a lot of fun.
