Contour Financial Planning invites public to “Coffee Talks”

Island, New York: Contour Financial
Planning opens it’s doors at 1879 Whitehaven Road on Grand Island for three
open houses the week of October 4th to promote financial literacy
during Financial Planning Week. The
Financial Planning Association – the nation’s largest professional
organization for Certified Financial PlannerTM practitioners
and other allied professionals who are dedicated to championing the financial
planning process has announced October 4 – October 10, 2004 as National
Financial Planning Week .
Contour’s
“Coffee Talks” will be held Monday, Oct 4th from 5:30 – 7:30
PM, Tuesday, Oct. 5th from 9:00 – 11:00 AM and Wednesday, Oct. 6th
from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. The public
is invited to “drop in, grab a comfy seat and enjoy a little something to eat
and drink while they chat.” Open
conversations will touch on how financial planning is an integral part of debt
management, budgeting, building and preserving wealth, and other topics.
The
goal of Financial Planning Week is to promote and improve financial literacy.
Understanding the flow of finances enables an individual to assess their
spending and saving habits, use credit responsibly, invest to help meet their
expectations of a comfortable life, and sort through the complexity and
confusion that some financial decisions can present.
During
this week-long event, businesses, financial and educational institutions,
museums, community-based organizations and others will be sponsoring or
participating in programs designed to promote financial awareness among their
staff, their customers, and/or the general public.
