Rolled Oats Cookies



2/3 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. milk
2 c. rolled oats
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chocolate chips

1. Cream shortening and sugar until light. Add eggs and milk. Add rolled oats. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to wet mixture. Add chocolate chips. Drop from teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a moderate oven at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
