Christmas Confetti Cookies



1 c Butter or margarine
1 c Sugar
2 tb Milk
1 ts Vanilla or rum extract
2 1/2 c Flour
3/4 c Finely chopped red and green -candied cherries
1/2 c Finely chopped pecans
3/4 c Flaked coconut

1. In large bowl of electric mixer, cream butter and sugar. Add milk and vanilla, beat well. Stir in flour, candied cherries, and pecans.
2. Form into 2 rolls, 1 1/2-inches in diameter. Roll in coconut. Wrap and chill several hours or overnight. Preheat electric oven to 375 F. Slice rolls 1/4 inch thick and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

Yield: 5 dozen cookies
