Slow Cooker Steak'n'Onion Soup



2 lbs ribeye beef tips
1 cup white onion, sliced thin (Vidalia preferred)
1/2 cup celery, sliced thin
1/2 cup carrots, diced (optional)
20 oz / 2 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced (optional)
16-20 oz beef broth or 4 Tbsp dry beef bouillon granules
8 cups hot water
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp iodized salt
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 cup half and half

1. In slow cooker over high heat, place beef tips, onion, celery, (carrots & mushrooms optional) broth or bouillon, pepper, chili powder, salt and garlic powder. Next, pour hot water over all and stir. Allow to simmer for 7-8 hours, or until meat is tender. Remove from heat and stir slowly while adding half and half to mixture, allow to stand 10-12 minutes before serving.

Serves four-six.
