Romaine & Spinach Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette



3 cups pre-washed romaine, torn
3 cups pre-washed baby spinach, torn
1 red pear, chopped
1/2 cup dried cranberries
4 oz. goat cheese, crumbled
4 oz. walnuts, toasted and coarsely chopped
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1. In a salad bowl combine romaine, baby spinach, pear, cranberries, cheese, and walnuts; set aside. For vinaigrette, whisk to together vinegar, oil, garlic, poppy seeds, brown sugar, salt, and pepper; pour over salad. Toss to combine.
