Winter Fruit Cobbler



2 baking apples, pared, cored and thinly sliced
2 pears, pared, cored and thinly sliced
1-1/2 cups grapes, halved and seeded
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. orange juice

Topping:
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 tsp. fresh orange rind, grated

1. Combine apples, pears and grapes. Add flour. brown sugar, cinnamon and orange juice; mix well. Turn into a greased 1-1/2 quart baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes at 425°F.
Topping:
Mix together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. In another bowl, beat together eggs, milk, melted butter and orange rind. Pour liquid ingredients into dry ingredients. Stir well. Spoon Topping over baked fruit; spread evenly over top. Bake 30 minutes longer, or until top is golden brown.
