Cheese and Broccoli Casserole
1 stick butter
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups cooked rice
1 package frozen chopped broccoli
1 10.75 oz can cream of mushroom soup
1 small jar Cheez Whiz
salt and pepper, to taste
vegetable cooking spray
1. Preheat oven to 400°.
2. In large frying pan, sauté onions in butter. Add salt and pepper.
3. Turn heat down to medium and add CheezWhiz. Stir until melted. Add soup and mix well. Turn off heat.
4. Defrost broccoli in microwave.
5. In large bowl, add broccoli and rice.
6. Mix. Add cheese/soup mixture from pan and mix well.
7. Spray a baking dish (Mixture shouldn't be more than 3 inches thick in dish) with vegetable cooking spray.
8. Pour mixture in baking dish and cook for 30 minutes or until top is browned and mixture is bubbling on the sides.
