Easy Garlic Mashed Potatoes



10 large Wisconsin potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
12 garlic cloves, peeled and halved
2 1/2 tablespoons Kosher Salt, divided
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
1 cup whipping cream

1. Place potatoes, garlic and 2 teaspoons salt in large saucepan; add enough water to cover. Bring to boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer until potatoes are tender; drain. Transfer potatoes and garlic to mixing bowl; mash.
2. Add butter, cream and remaining salt; beat until smooth.

Yield: 10-12 servings
