Chocolate Zucchini Cake



1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup oil
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
4 tbsp. cocoa
3 zucchini, approx. 6 inches long, grated
1/2-1 cup chocolate chips (optional)


1. Cream sugars, butter and oil together in large bowl.
2. Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk and stir well to mix.
3. Measure flour, spices and cocoa into sifter, then sift into bowl.
4. Add grated zucchini and pour into 9" x 13", floured pan. Sprinkle with chips and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
