Grand Island 21, Hamburg 20: Hamburg's season, which started with a one-point loss to the Vikings (14-13), ended the same way. Hamburg's Zach Shouldice scored on the last play, on a 3-yard run. The Bulldogs went for two, but defensive end James Rayhill forced a fumble.
The Vikings dominated the first half, yards and time of possession-wise, but only led, 14-7, at the break. GI was held without a first down in the second half and for the game they were outgained, 313-124. But Hamburg was plagued by poor drive starts as GI punter Chris Miller averaged 41 yards on eight kicks. Dorian Myles gave Hamburg its only lead when he went 92 yards for a TD on the first play from scrimmage.
GI's Ryan Harvey scored on a 4-yard run, had a 44-yard interception return and 11 tackles.
The Bulldogs, winners of seven in a row since the opening loss to GI, finish 7-2.
