INLITE EP RELEASE SHOW

After months of anticipation, Inlite fans across Western New York will finally be able to put their favorite band’s songs on their iPods. The high school band sensation will publically release “Canopus,” with five tracks, this Friday at an EP release show at Riviera Theatre, 67 Webster St., North Tonawanda. The EP will sell for $5. All songs can be listened to on Inlite’s MySpace. The EP has one new song, “Cut and Dried”, which features the band’s strong vocals and intertwining harmonies. Also on the EP are “Brightest Star”, “Cascade”, “Your Place”, and “Love We Send”, songs the band has been working on for a while. Also playing Friday will be fellow Grand Island band The Sleepless City, as well as The Birth of a Catastrophe. “We’ve already sold over 100 tickets so far to Grand Island kids alone,” said Lee Becker, keyboardist for Inlite. When asked about their excitement over finally releasing the EP, lead singer Jordan Dixon said: “We are just as excited, if not more for releasing this EP, than Luke [Skywalker] was after he blew up the Death Star.” Doors will open at Riviera at 6:30, and the show starts at 7. Tickets are $8 at the door, but can be purchased for $5 through members of the bands that are performing. Visit Inlite’s MySpace at www.myspace.com/inlite
