HS ROUNDUP (Feb. 28): Stalyga leads GI to win

Grand Island junior Jonas Stalyga had a huge night for the second-seeded Vikings, scoring 35 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in an 81-63 Class A-1 quarterfinal win over No. 10 Iroquois Friday night. Stalyga’s teammate Greg Feathers scored 14 and snagged nine rebounds with Alex Nuetz and Bobby Ross netting 11 points apiece for GI (17-4). The Vikings will play No. 3 Williamsville South in the semifinals Wednesday at Buffalo State. John Bowen scored a team-high 24 points for the Chiefs (7-15).
