Brain Dance - November 2023
Saturday, December 2, 2:30 - 3:15 pm Geared towards adults and seniors.In this 45-minute program, Buffalo-based teaching artist Benjamin Berry will educate participants about the many benefits of the BrainDance, guide through multiple iterations of the exercises (seated, standing, with props, etc.) and share resources in a fully accessible environment geared towards elders and adults with limited mobility. What is BrainDance? BrainDance is an excellent full body and brain warm-up that can be practiced by people of all ages and levels of ability. Practicing BrainDance weekly or daily can help rewire and enhance connections within the sensori-motor system. NYS Citizen Preparedness Corps - July 2023
Saturday, September 16, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm - This event is rescheduled from 5/20/23This event is brought to you by the Governor in conjunction with Mark Poloncarz, Erie County Executive. The NY Citizen Preparedness Training Program teaches residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. This training course will provide an introduction to responding to a natural or man-made disaster. Participants will be advised on how to properly prepare for any disaster, including developing family emergency plan and stocking up on emergency supplies.
