June 9      "Pacifism v. A Just War," Dr. Ned Cuddy, History professor and former department chair at Daemen College; Roxanne Amico from Women in Black, Buffalo Activist Network, and PEACE (Peace Education and Action Committee for Everyone); Jim Hartz, Enlisted Specialty Training Manager at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station; and Wayne Alt, Western New York Peace Center.

 

June 16       NO CHURCH:  Statewide UCC Conference in Albany. 

"The Music & Food of Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Brazil," at Artpark, presented by Mark Goldman & The Buffalo News, 2 p.m.  Latin American Solidarity Committee (LASC) of the WNY Peace Center is selling tickets ($20 each, of which $5 each will go to the Caravan to Cuba for medical, school, & office supplies). June 17     VOICE-Buffalo Issues Assembly: 7 p.m., St. Francis Xavier, 157 East St. (at Amherst), Buffalo

 

June 23     ANNUAL POTLUCK-PICNIC!  2-6 p.m.  Walk the new outdoor labyrinth, select/win something special from our bag auction/nickel fair, enjoy the Henry David Thoreau path through our & the adjoining Town land, play volleyball, have your face painted, chat/sing/eat with friends!

 

July 7       "Music in the Woods," Nan Hoffman Benefit Concert for RSUCC & Quality Quest Coalition with Joe Tumino, Kathy & Tom DeLoughry, and Mike Bell. 4 p.m.  RAIN or SHINE.  Free-will offering.
