December 31:            New Year's Eve Gathering at Shirley's, 5096 College Street,

                        Hamburg, 6:00 p.m. onward; bring food, music/instruments,

                        games, good spirits             (see enclosure)


January 5:            ANNUAL MEETING (Elections, Budget, Possible Disciples

                        Affiliation-First Call)


January 12            Civil Liberties under the USA Patriot Act:  Jeanne Noel-Mahoney

                        from the New York Civil Liberties Union and Jean Dickson,

                        Librarian at UB, will help us understand the state of our civil

                        liberties now, including privacy (e.g., library usage), separation of

                        church and state, expectations regarding the Supreme Court,

                        women's issues, etc.


January 19            VOICE Worship Celebration, St. James RC Church, Hastings at

                        Bailey, 4 p.m.


January 26            Growing in the Spirit:  "What's God Up To? Bible Stories

                        Through New Eyes,"  Rev. Shirley Chan.  [Also, possible

                        Statewide UCC Justice & Witness Ministries Retreat in Central

                        New York and the World Social Forum in Brazil.]


February 2            BUSINESS MEETING (Including 2nd Call on Possible Disciples
