July 6             Peace Cranes with Beth and Heather Hartz.  Help make paper origami peace cranes to help commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Hiroshima-Nagasaki bombings.  Bring 6” x 6” paper (easily folded) of any design; paper will also be available at the cottage.

 

July 13           Evelyn Brady, Meditation and Poetry.  “All artists are of necessity in some measure contemplative.” (Underhill)  We will practice some basic meditation techniques and let this experience lead us into a fuller more creative writing experience. Poetry will be a central genre, but any style of writing will be fine.

 

July 20           Diane Evans and other Spin-a-Storytellers will enchant you with their stories!

 

July 27            Joan Droit, Memoir Writing

 

 

Aug 3              Chuck Culhane, Poetry Workshop

 

Aug 10            Robb Nesbitt, Madeline White, Carol Alt & Others, Song Circle.  Everyone is invited to come and share songs round-robin style with a most appreciative audience.

Aug 24            Anna Walsh, Origins of the Soul: Myths from many cultures.  Bring your own concepts to share.

 

Aug 31                        Carol Alt, Ginko (parents’ & children’s nature haiku)

 

 

[Sep 4             June & Roger’s 25th ‘(Golden Threads & Silver Needles”) picnic/potluck: 1515 West River Road, Grand Island, 2-6 p.m.   Food, music, boating, volleyball, gardens, camaraderie!
