Address: 1745 Fix Road
Family: He and his wife, Sally, have three children: Melissa, 20, a student at Fredonia; Stephanie, 19, who attends Penn State; and Robert, 16, a student at Grand Island High School.

Reasons for seeking
board seat: “I believe in public education and consider it a privilege to
represent the people of Grand Island as a member of the School Board. This is a
way to return the benefits of my early education by the Grand Island School
District (Class 1972) as well as my business background in making sound
decisions for the continuous improvement to our programs ultimately leading to a
solid education for our children. We face challenging times and need leadership
in many areas. I am willing to take a position sometimes not popular if I
believe it moves us toward the goal of the best education possible given the
circumstances. Attending the commencement ceremony at the end of the school year
and seeing the result of being willing to take the risks and sacrifice time for
this most important aspect of our children’s development is what motivates me
to be a member of the school board. We help build the foundation for the future
leaders of the world.”
