Grand Island Varsity Tennis Team Tied For Niagara Frontier League Championship
Grand Island's varsity tennis team (12-2) ended its Niagara Frontier League season tied
for first place with Lockport and Niagara Wheatfield. Steve Beatty, 1st singles, will compete in the sectionals. The doubles qualifying tournament for sectionals will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2004. Steve Kopf and Matt Fields will be compete in the doubles qualifying tournament for sectionals, also being held on Saturday, May 22.

Mike broke the school's all-time points and goal records in the April 26, 2004 game against Salamanca. Score was 18-8. He has been named The News Player of the Year in football, passed the marks of 2000 graduate and current Army junior Jim Wagner. Blocho has 291 points and 185 goals; Wagner had 239 and 160.
