Grand Island's Brett Kern led the scoring in the loss to Niagara Falls with 13 points. Also scoring for the Viking boys were Eric Hajnos (4), Dave Chambers (8,) Breisi (4).
Grand Island Hockey - Grand Island 6 - St. Mary's 3
Jamie Holka and Jeff Bull of the Grand Island Varsity Hockey Team, scored two goals each to insure Grand Island's win over St. Mary's, 6-3. Also scoring for GI were Joe Podlucky, and Rob Coughlin who had his first goal of the season and added an assist for GI. Two assists a piece were given by Andrew Marrs and Andrew Ungaro. GI's goalie Jeff Pickle stopped 12 shots in goal for the win. The Vikings play Jamestown 9 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2004.
