Modifications at Grand Island Memorial Library Job No. M-82-09
The Town Engineer reported that there are funds
remaining in the Library Construction Fund Grant that was used for the Library
Parking Lot. The GI Library needs
to spend the funds or return them to the State and County Library Construction
Fund. The GI Library has
requested they be allowed to spend the remaining funds on upgrades to the
lighting in the library and possibly upgrades to the HVAC system.
The original bond authorization for $110,000.00 is
to be offset by a State Library Construction Fund grant for $50,000.00 and a
County Library Construction Fund Grant for $20,000.00. The Town of Grand Island is funding the remainder.
There is approximately $51,900 remaining in the bond authorization.
A motion
was made by Councilman Crawford, seconded by Councilman Roesch to accept the
recommendation of the Town Engineer and authorize the Supervisor to sign an
agreement for the design of the lighting system upgrades with Wendel
Duchscherer in the amount of $8,000.00.
