Public Hearing for Monday, May 17, 2010 at 8:00p.m. for the purpose of hearing anyone who wants to comment
in favor or in opposition to Local Law Intro #4 of 2010 Amendments to
Chapter 49, Zoning Code to consider adding fire stations to certain zoning
districts, better define campgrounds and reduce the legal height of
boathouses.

accept the recommendation of the Town Engineer and appoint Colin Gallagher and
Erik Billica as Seasonal Full-time employees for summer help in the Water
Department and Tim Burns as a Seasonal Full-time employee for summer help in
the Wastewater Department at a rate of $8.50 per hour, effective May 4, 2010.

Town Engineer John Whitney reported that the bids were opened
on April 28, 2010 for Job No. M-199 Pressure Swing Absorption System (PSA)
Upgrades for the Town of Grand Island. One
bids were received from the following:

$222,750.000
After careful review of the bids, Mr. Whitney recommended the
sole bidder, Mixing & Mass Transfer Technologies be awarded the bid for
Job No. M-199 Pressure Swing Absorption System (PSA) Upgrades for the Town
of Grand Island in the amount of $222,750.00.
A motion was made by Councilman Billica, seconded by
Councilwoman Cooke to authorize the Town Engineer to award the bid to Mixing
& Mass Transfer Technologies be awarded the bid for Job No. M-199
Pressure Swing Absorption System (PSA) Upgrades for the Town of Grand Island
in the amount of $222,750.00.

careful review of the bids, Mr. Whitney recommended the Town purchase topsoil
from Bush Trucking & Landscaping at $13.95/yard and Podlucky Construction
at $6.50/square foot for concrete repairs.
Water/Wastewater repair materials should be purchased from the supplier
with the lowest price for the desired item.

motion was made by Councilman Roesch, seconded by Councilman Billica to
accept
the recommendation of the Town Engineer and purchase topsoil from Busch
Trucking & Landscaping at $13.95/yard and Podlucky Construction at
$6.50/square foot for concrete repairs. Water/Wastewater
repair materials will be purchased from the supplier with the lowest price for
the desired item.

Water Treatment Plant Intake requires cleaning and inspection annually.
Town Engineer John Whitney reported that quotations were
