2019 Budget Approved - November 2018
The Town of Grand Island 2019 budget was approved on Thursday, November 8th. It raises taxes by 2.63 percent, to $10.23 million, under the 2.68 tax cap. Mandated sewer improvements are to blame, raising the tax levy in sewer districts by 28 percent from 2018. National Night Out Proclamation - July 2018

The Town Board gave a proclamation for the National Night Out event at its meeting on Monday, July 16th. National Night Out is a national campaign sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, held nation-wide on Tuesday, August 7th. It began in 1984 as an annual community-building campaign to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.The Grand Island Traffic Safety Advisory Board is organizing this year's event at the Town Commons from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Nearly a dozen emergency personnel groups, as well as local community groups and organizations focusing on promoting healthy interaction within our community. Tim Hortons will be providing complimentary coffee and donuts, and there will be additional food available for purchase. Interactive displays will focus on driver safety, and there will even be a Grand Island "celebrity" dunk tank, with all donations benefitting the Grand Island Neighbor's Foundation. See Flyer.
