Man’s body pulled from upper Niagara

NIAGARA FALLS—Authorities recovered a man’s body just after noon Thursday in the upper Niagara River near the Robert Moses Parkway water intakes.

Authorities are investigating a possible connection to the report of a man jumping from the Grand Island Bridge into the Niagara River on Monday, Niagara Falls police said.

Coroner Cindy Lou Joyce said the body, which had been in the water three or four days, was turned over to the Erie County medical examiner.
