Man accused to giving marijuana to minor

 A Grand Island man was arrested Monday after allegedly providing marijuana to a minor, according to state police.

Simon H. Bresnick, 62, was charged with criminal sale of marijuana, making a false statement, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana. Police said Bresnick and the minor were in the parking lot of an abandoned building on Grand Island at the time of the sale.

Bresnick appeared in Grand Island Town Court and was taken to the Erie County Holding Center. He is scheduled to reappear in court Wednesday.
