Transition Workshops for Parents of Students with Disabilities
Buffalo, NY March 3, 2008 – FREE workshops for
families of young adults with disabilities will be held at Tonawanda and Grand
Island High Schools. These
workshops, sponsored in part by Parent Network of WNY, will focus on getting
students ready to make the move out of school and into adulthood.
The workshops are part of a Model Transition Program
grant and cover important topics that families should know as their young adult
prepares to leave high school and enter college or the workforce.
Parents and students are encouraged to attend these informative sessions.
Admission for these sessions is free but pre-registration is requested.
