A Grand Island pharmacy was robbed early Tuesday by a man who handed a note to the pharmacist demanding prescription drugs, Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard said.
The robbery occurred at about 8:30 a.m. at the Island Prescription Center, 1728 Grand Island Blvd. The man did not have a weapon, but he kept one hand in his pocket as if he did, sheriff’s officials said.
The robber fled the store on foot with a quantity of drugs. He was described as a 5-foot-8, medium-build white male with a neatly trimmed mustache. He wore a dark green sweat shirt with a hood and light green sweat pants, deputies added.
