Grand Island exit traffic faces lane restriction

Motorists on Wednesday leaving the northbound Niagara Thruway on Grand Island will run into a lane restriction on the exit for Beaver Island State Park, the State Thruway Authority reports.

Because the left lane will be closed, motorists will have to yield to traffic in the right lane. Drivers on Grand Island Boulevard also will be restricted to the right lane only.

Construction work will take place between 10 a. m. and midnight, weather permitting.
