More than $10,000 worth of tools were stolen over the past weekend from a building site on Greenside Drive on Grand Island, Erie County sheriff’s deputies reported Tuesday.
The theft was discovered Monday after a contractor noticed a trailer on the road had been burglarized.
Taken were several power nailers, saws, a power drill, tool belt, air compressor, sump pump, air staplers, a generator and other tools.
Deputies were searching for a nearly 6-foot-tall white man who weighs about 220 pounds. He had blond hair and is clean-shaven. Police said the suspect drives a late model Dodge Ram pickup with the partial plate number of 58814 or 58418.
Anyone with information is asked to contact sheriff’s detectives at 858-7755.
