Three Grand Island teens were arrested early Friday morning after a Grand Island man called 911 to report that his truck was being broken into, Erie County sheriff’s officials said.
The resident contacted authorities at about 3:30 a. m., and deputies arrived on Warner Road to find that the man had caught one of the suspected thieves and was holding him for police.
Deputies Kristin Rozycki and Bradley Girder and Sgt. Bert Dunn recovered numerous stolen items and learned the identities of two other suspects, according to police reports.
Charged with petit larceny were Jacob I. Madia, Daniel J. McKenna and Alex M. Hultgren, all 18, sheriff’s officials said. Deputies also charged Madia with criminal mischief.
