Pink Bag Project for Lady Vets - November 2013
Trinity's United Methodist Women have been involved in the "Pink Bag Project for Lady Vets" since 2008. Toiletries and donations are collected throughout the year to be placed into decorative pink bags, hand decorated with silk flowers. The bags are then taken to the Buffalo Veterans Hospital, where they are given to female veterans. Buffalo Veterans Hospital is one of the few that has a care unit designated for female vets. Items needed for the bags include: tooth brushes, deodorant, medium sized conditioner, shampoo, toothpaste, hair brush. Hand sanitizer, lip balm and bar soap are also needed. If you would be interested in donating toiletries or money to purchase needed items, contact Nancy Hayes at 773-7127.

Each year a different area of the world in need of our prayers and understanding is selected. In 2013, Christian women of France invite us to join them as we consider "I was a stranger and you welcomed me". We are all related to one another as God's children. Worshipers will be challenged to take note of the one who is not known, the one who is outside their circle, and to open their hearts. Who among us has not been a stranger at some time? Please join us as we welcome those within and outside of our circle.
