YWCA Taking Reservations For Beaujolais Nouveau Gala - November 2003
The 7th annual Beaujolais Nouveau wine tasting, dinner and auction to
benefit the outreach programs of the YWCA of the Tonawandas is scheduled
for Friday, November 21 at Banchetti's by Rizzo. The evening will be a
festive beginning to the holiday season with the auction of fabulous prizes
to help jumpstart your holiday shopping.
Auctioneer Roger Glor will lend his expertise in auctioning off a variety
of sports memorabilia including two autographed Baby Joe Mesi boxing
gloves, an autographed Bills football, Sabres tickets along with a Jason
Woolley autographed hockey stick and a golf package. For non sports
enthusiasts there is a dinner and limo package, a multi-colored "Scrap
Exchange" queen size quilt handcrafted by the Friendship Quilters, a $500
Wal-Mart gift certificate, antique furniture and a Victorian tea for 10
just to name a few of the major prizes.
In addition to the live auction, there will be a variety of silent auction
items and theme baskets on which to bid and a 50/50 split event.
Sponsoring the event are gold sponsors Dr. and Mrs. Gerald Logue, silver
sponsor A.J.'s Heating & Air Conditioning and bronze sponsors Morgan &
Armenia, CPAs and LawleyService Insurance.
The newly released French Beaujolais wine will flow throughout the evening
along with wine samplings from Niagara Landings, all to enhance a sumptuous
buffet.
Reservations are now being taken by calling the YWCA of the Tonawandas at
692-5580. Tickets are $50 per person or $350 for a table of eight. Enjoy
fine wine and have a good time while supporting the many good works of the
YWCA as it celebrates its 90th year of service to the community.
