Grand Island Wrestling Club

Welcome to the Grand Island Wrestling. This will be the eighth year for the GI Wrestling Club and we are looking forward to another exciting and rewarding season. The cost of the club is $40.00 per individual. Included in the cost will be an AAU Wrestling Membership Card, secondary insurance coverage, training in Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco-Roman techniques and a Wrestling Club tee shirt.

Ø Registration will be held Wednesday November 30^th 2005 and Monday December 5^th 2005 between 6 – 8 o’clock PM in the GI High School upper gym. The cost will be $40

Ø NO CHECKS!! Please bring cash only

Ø Practices will be held Monday and Wednesday nights 6-8 pm (subject to change) beginning Monday December 5^th at 6 pm

Ø Proper attire consists of a tee shirt, shorts (not jean shorts), socks and wrestling shoes, please avoid wearing baggy clothing, jewelry and long hair

Ø Optional equipment includes headgear, knee pads, mouthpieces etc.

Ø We encourage parents to stay during practices as Wrestling Club is NOT a babysitting service.

Ø Must be 8 years of age and not older then 13

Ø Limited space available

Ø We reserve the right to ask any child who is not following rules or being disruptive to leave.

The volunteer instructors consist of former High School wrestlers. All coaches are certified in First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer by the American Red Cross.

Tournaments are held on the weekends. Participation is optional. Entry fees and other minimal charges may apply. All participants must have their own transportation to and from the tournaments as well as a parent or guardian present.
