Awana Grand Prix Barbi Lare Photo    The Awana Grand Prix was held at the Bible Presbyterian Family Life Center Wednesday, November 14, 2001. Adults and children created their own cars from blocks of wood, and decorated them in preparation for the races.    Fifty competitors tried their luck and talents in the Grade 3-6 and Grade 7-adult Divisions during eliminations. Design and speed counted in the judging. Shown is Huth Road Elementary 5th grader Amy M. Bidell, 10, of Ransom Road, who won the grade 3-6 division. Finalists will compete in the regional event to be held Saturday (Nov. 17) at the Center.
