Corporate Bowl 2004 By Kathleen Ganz The Grand Island School/Business Alliance — GISBA — is once again challenging our students to compete for scholarships at the annual Corporate Bowl. The sixth annual event invites teams of High School students to compete for college scholarships. Students answer questions in English, math, science, history, geography, music, art, current events, sports and business. Scholarships are presented to the top three teams and prizes are given to all participants. Sponsors are being sought for this year’s competition, which will be held in March 2004. The preliminary round is March 10, with the final round on March 17. Donations of cash, products and services are being accepted from Western New York businesses. Corporate sponsors will benefit by being able to showcase the talent of our high school students by providing students with college scholarships and by enhancing bonds among the school district, local businesses and the community. Cash donations will be recognized at the following levels: Platinum sponsors: $1,000 or more; includes full-page recognition of your company in the program. Gold sponsors: $500 to $999; includes a half-page recognition of your company in the program. Silver sponsors: $100 to $499; includes a quarter-page recognition of your company in the program. Products and service donations are used to prepare theme baskets for a raffle, with proceeds used to fund scholarships. For more information, contact Douglas Dohn, Corporate Bowl chairman, at 775-2244, or email Doug_Dohn@fujisawa.com.
