   St. Stephen's Holy Name Society will hold its Pasta Extravaganza from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2009 in the school cafeteria, 2080 Baseline Road. Proceeds to benefit the Society's Scholarship Fund & charities. For menu and prices see

Holy Name Society Spaghetti Dinner - 2008

    St. Stephen's Holy Name Society's Annual Spaghetti Dinner will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008 in St. Stephen School cafeteria, 2080 Baseline Road. The menu includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, coffee or tea and dessert. Proceeds will benefit the Society's scholarship fund and charities. Cost follows:
• Full portion/adults/$7
• Full portion/senior citizens/$6
• Small portion/children 6 to 12/$4
• Children 5 and under - free
   The event will also have the NFL Football, including Bills vs. Dophins on TV and the Altar Society will hold a basket raffle and bake sale.

   The St. Stephen’s Holy Name Society held its annual Christmas Essay Contest, themed “Why Christmas is Important to Us as Catholics” in December 2005. Each sixth, seventh, and eighth grade student was asked to submit an original essay. The Society selected six essays from all of the entries. The following sixth graders were selected: Rebecca Meyer and David Conboy, who were both runners-up, and Jonathan Voyzey, first place winner of a $50 savings bond. The following seventh graders were selected: Brian Bobak and Justine Lazatin, who were both runners-up, and Kevin Gibas, first place winner of a $50 savings bond. The following eighth graders were selected: Alexandra House and Michael Mucci, who were both runners-up, and Adrian Tanguay, first place winner of a $50 savings bond. St. Stephen’s is very proud of the work that all of their students do!



Holy Name Society Spaghetti Dinner 2002

St. Stephen's Holy Name Society will offer a spaghetti dinner Sunday, April 21 from noon to 5:30 p.m. in St. Stephen's cafeteria. Take-out orders available. Proceeds to benefit the Society's scholarship fund and charities.


Kids Basketball Clinic 2001
A basketball clinic at St. Stephen School Gymnasium, 2080 Baseline Road will be held April 17-19, 2001 for kids ages six to eight from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and ages nine to eleven from 1-3 p.m. The clinic is sponsored by the Holy Name Society and the fee is $3 per day. Registration begins one half hour before each session. Advanced registration is not necessary. For further information, call 773-6459.

Holy Name Announces Christmas Essay Winners
   Andrea Alli, Kathryn DeRose, Christie Utz and Christian Bobak took first through fourth place respectively in the St. Stephen's Holy Name Society's "Bring Christ Back to Christmas" Essay Contest 2000. First place winner Andrea Alli, a sixth grader, will receive a $50 U.S. Savings Bond and a trophy. Trophies will be awarded to Kathryn DeRose, an eighth grader; Christie Utz, a sixth grader and Christian Bobak, a seventh grader.


"Chemical Dependency" Program Offered by Holy Name
    "Chemical Dependency, Drugs and Alcohol," a program open to the public and offered by St. Stephen's Holy Name Society, will be givin free of charge in the hospitality room at St. Stephen's Church, 2100 Baseline Road 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2001.
   The program, led by guest speaker Ms. Jackie Nicastro, is open to families, adults and children of high school age on Grand Island and the surrounding communities.
