Junior Sailors Win At SBYC Haul Out Regatta - Sept. 2008

The Sandy Beach Yacht Club held its annual Haul Out Regatta at the Clubhouse on Winter Road, Grand Island on September 27-28, 2008. Each year the Junior Sailors from the Niagara Sailing Club race at this annual big boat regatta. Chuck Meyer, Jr. and Greg Chamberlain coordinate the NSC Junior Sailors to compete on Saturday and Sunday. The young people sail small board boats and, this year, Captain Sarah Chamberlain and Crew Allie Price took first place among these small board boats. Sandy Beach Yacht Club Women To Hold Gala Art Auction - 2006
The Sandy Beach Yacht Club Women's Organization is sponsoring a Gala Art Auction on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at the SBYC Clubhouse at East River and Winter roads. A preview will start at 6 p.m. with the auction beginning at 7 p.m. Cost is $10 per person and includes a glass of wine, hors d'oeuvres, dessert and coffee. A cash bar will be available. Featured will be art in all media and price ranges.

Sandy Beach Yacht Club To Hold "Bring a Friend Night" - 2006
The Sandy Beach Yacht Club presents "Bring a Friend Night" on Friday, March 24th at the Clubhouse, 1851 Winter Road at East River Road. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. Those interested in becoming a member of a Sandy Beach Yacht Club are asked to call Gary LaRussa at 876-7114 by March 19, 2006.

Sandy Beach Yacht Club Announces St. Patrick's Party - 2006
The Sandy Beach Yacht Club will sponsoring a St. Patrick's Party at the Clubhouse on East River and Winter Road, Grand Island on Saturday, March 11. The evenings schedule follows:
• Dutch Treat Cocktails - 6 p.m.
• Home Cooked Dinner - 7:00 - Featuring Corned Beef & Cabbage with all the trimmings
• Irish Music by Kevin Clark on the piano.
Cost is $13.00 per person. Reservations must be made by March 3rd to Jim or JoAnn Ward 681-9351.
